Ongoing Zus incident related to AWS outages
Updates
As of 5:15am ET this morning, our patient search functionality resumed normal operation after AWS repaired the underlying service.
Thank you for your patience amid yesterday’s system issues.
Snowflake is again accessible, and customer data marts appear to be stable. Their data will be up to date after our nightly process runs overnight.
Patient searches continue to fail due to an AWS service that continues to be impacted. We are in contact with AWS about resolving this.
We are continuing to see intermittent connectivity to Snowflake, which impacts Zus’s data marts as well as the transitions page in our web application.
Searching for a patient also continues to be unavailable in the web application due to ongoing AWS issues.
We are continuing to monitor the situation and evaluate remediation steps.
Several Zus service are currently impacted by issues due to this morning’s AWS outage. The following Zus services are affected:
- Searching for a patient by name or identifier is current not available in the web application. Any attempt to search will incorrectly return “no results”.
- Snowflake Datamarts are unavailable. Additional information directly from Snowflake is available here.
- The Transitions page in the web application is unavailable.
As AWS services are restored, we will be assessing this incident’s impact on data availability and freshness and will provide further updates.
